The opening cocktail reception for the 41st Annual Sosland Publishing Purchasing Seminar is a significant networking opportunity for marketing and purchasing professionals and will be held at Kansas City's historic Union Station.
Built in 1914, Union Station was once a bustling train station to hundreds of thousands of passengers annually. Renovated in 1999, Union Station is a top tourist attraction in Kansas City and is home to the KC Rail Experience, Science City, a planetarium, the Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre, a live theater as well as several dining options. Union Station is located at 30 West Pershing Road, within walking distance of both the Sheraton and Westin in the Crown Center District.
The Monday night cocktail party will be hosted at the College Basketball Experience at the Sprint Center (1401 Grand Blvd.) across the street from KC Live!.
The College Basketball Experience houses the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, presenting the history of the game and honoring the legends of college basketball. The College Basketball Experience is much more than just a museum, but is a world class entertainment facility with over 41,500 square feet, hosting events year-round. In addition, the College Basketball Experience has numerous activity stations such as rebounding, passing, free throw shooting and three-point shooting, as well as the ESPNU desk where visitors can call the highlights of an NCAA basketball game.
Shuttles will be provided for both evening cocktail parties.
The Sheraton and Westin at Crown Center offer complimentary shuttle service Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-10 a.m. and Monday through Saturday 3 p.m.-10 p.m. During the operating times the shuttle is available to our guests on a first-come, first-serve basis.
